Your life, your decisions!

Life is not allways as easy as we would like it to be. Sometimes it can seem so dark that you do not see any solutions on your problems, and all you want to do is just give up. But things allways get better after some time, at least they have done so far for me. I guess that tough times is just a part of life, we can not aviod them. What I think is important, is to learn how to handle them the best way and learn from them. Of course you should listen to advice and let other people have influence in you. But in the end it is your decision. It is your life, and you have to decide how you want to live it. You have the final word.

These things are important to remember in life. Because you can not let other people live your life. If you do, you will ending up not knowing how you really are, and then it would be much harder when you have to make hard decisions in your life. And I promise you, there will be hard decisions for you to make. If you do not know yourself, you will not know what is the right thing to do for you. I think that hard decisions and tough times is a good opportunity to get to know yourself better. You really have to go deep down in your minds to think out what you whan to do, and that is why it is so important that you do not let anyone else control your life.

I will take ''Forrest Gump'' as an example. If you have seen the film, you know that Forrest experiences a lot during his life, and you also know that he was not like everyone else, his IQ was a bit lower than normal. I will pick out some examples. In the beginning of the film you see how hard it is for him to be allowed to go to the public school, and how he gets bullied by his classmates, because he is not like them. We also see him going to the Vietnam war were he in one scene runs back into a area that is getting bombed, to save his friends. Forrest's best friend Bubba got killed in that attack, something that was really hard for him. But what Forrest did for Bubba after he died, I think is admirable. Bubba had a wish that he and Forrest would be partners on his shrimpboat. So after Forrest left Vietnam and got world champion in pin pong, he started in the shrimpingline and became a millionare. In the end he get a child with his childhoodfriend Jenny and they marry before she dies.

Eaven though Forrest was not aware of all the decisions me made, because he did have a low IQ, he still managed to experience and obtain so much in his life! I really love Forrest for his courage and the way he never gives up. He is so full of love. I really think that he is a great idol, and that we should learn from him. He never gave up, and had faith in not only himself, but also everyone around him. Something that is important. Never forget to have fatih in others, you learn from that too.

A famous quotation from the film ''Forrest Gump'', that I really like is a line Forrest's mum told him. ''Life is like a box of chocolate, you never know what you'll get.''

This quotation is so good because it is so true. You do really never know what to get. You do not know exactly what you will experience tomorrow, next week or next year.You might have a clue, but you can never be sure. That is what makes life so exciting, and maybe sometimes frightening too. But if you are prepared for unexpected things to happen, they may be easier to handle. Of course you can not be prepared for everything to happen, but still you do not have to give up. Live every day, and grow on your experiences!

I will take another example, this time from the Disney film ''The Lion King'' which you probably know. In this film we meet Simba who is son of the king, Mufasa. Simba's uncle Scar is jealous at Mufasa and kills him. Scar tells Simba that it is his fault that Mufasa is dead, and Simba runs away. When Scar goes back to the other lions he tell them that Simba and Mufasa is dead, and he become king. When Simba, may years later come back he sees that his old home, that used to be a beautiful and fertile place, has now become a dark place with nothing left to eat. Simba decides to figth against Scar and win the throne back.

In the film Simba have to make a decision whether he should go back to his old home or not. He have lived so long without the others lions, and it only reminds him of his fathers death, which he thinks he is his fault. After all he decides to go back, when he sees how miserable everything have become.

The story have an happy ending. In real life you can not guarantee that. But we have to take chances in our lifes, or else we wont come far. In some situations, for example education, it is not easy to decide what you want to do. Ask yourself what you want to do and take a chance! If you fail, you can try again. You must not give up if you fail a few times. No one will go through life without failing. It is a part of human life. That is important to remember.

The two examples ''Forrest Gump'' and ''The Lion King'' are two very different stories. But at the same time they have a lot in common. In both stories we follow the principal character through their lifes, and we got to see problems they meet on their and how they choose to handle them. It is important to remember that life does not allways lead us in the directions that we want it to do. Life is like a rollercoaster, it goes up and then it goes down. And eaven though it might seem hopeless, do not give up. Learn from your follow beings and grow on it, but do not forget to think of others. To take care about others gives you as much as love as the love you get from them.

Take control in your own life, do not let anyone take decisions for you, but do not be too proud to let people help you on the way. Learn something new everyday. It is your life and you only have one chance to live it, so do it now!
